This was an internal campaign aimed at increasing awareness and visibility of the diversity amongst the people at Grant Thornton. Diversity comes in many different forms: ability, social mobility, ethnicity,  gender and LGBTQ+, but this campaign also sought to go even further by telling the stories behind some of our people showing to their uniqueness on one hand their but on the other just how relatable their story is to the reader.

The campaign is based on a simple idea, ‘what is your story?’ The plan was to identify candidates for the campaign and photograph portraits of them. To convey the idea of their story visually, we opted to use a a book as a prop. Each book jacket was tailored to them, with their name down as the author and a title of their choosing. We used cover style of the ubiquitous Penguin classics for it’s legibility familiarity.

The campaign came to life within our office spaces – on walls and within glass frames and on the firm’s intranet where the content is are updated every six months with new people. Feedback from the business was hugely positive and at times quite touching. It has even made some participants minor celebrities within the firm.
