Who am I?

I’m a Senior Digital Designer recently returned to Australia after eight years in London, where I led brand and UX design teams. I’m passionate about mentoring and helping my team grow while delivering user-centred solutions. Having worked across various industries, I thrive on adapting to new challenges and am excited about opportunities in diverse roles and sectors.

Skills

With a long and varied career in design, I have developed a diverse and adaptable skill set, most recently specializing in UX. Having spent the majority of my career working in and managing in-house teams, I love collaborative environments where design can make a difference. My expertise spans typography and layout design, alongside a keen interest in video and animation as well as UX/UI. In my recent role I worked to develop a design system, this was a huge undertaking and I learned a lot in the process. I actively seek out new skills and technologies, ensuring my work remains innovative and impactful across different mediums.

Design Manager | MVF Global (UK)

2023-2024

  • Led a team of UX Researchers, UI Designers, and Creative Technologists, supporting professional growth and fostering collaboration across the business.
  • Designed and launched a comprehensive, multi-brand design system from scratch, including a component library and best-practice guidelines. The system’s token library enabled seamless restyling of components for different brands.
  • Managed team software licenses and budgets.
  • Facilitated workshops, retrospectives, and critique sessions to promote continuous improvement.

Design and Brand Manager | Grant Thornton UK

2018-2023

  • Led the transition of a design service from an agency-based model to an in-house operation. This included recruiting and onboarding a team of designers, collaborating with developers to build a custom online briefing portal on the intranet, and training internal stakeholders to adopt a new proofing app.
  • Spearheaded the use and implementation of Ceros, a tool for creating no-code digital experiences. This included creating templates and training the team to design interactive content for bids and collateral.
  • Responsible for triage and assignment of briefs, monitoring work quality, and supported the team during high workloads.
  • Directed visual identity management in the UK and collaborated with Grant Thornton International to evolve the global brand.
  • Improved the design of pitch templates, increasing efficiency and contributing to an improved win rate.
  • Art directed headline campaigns, events, and high-value bids, including overseeing the transition of people’s profile photos to a colour library.

2017-2018

  • Managed the firm’s refreshed visual identity and provided brand guidance to internal and agency teams.
  • Art directed hero marketing campaigns for the firm, including Planning for Growth and Vibrant Capital.
  • Designed the Annual Report and Transparency Report each year.
  • Responsible for managing the firm’s asset management system, keeping assets up to date, training staff and working with the service provider to address faults and bugs.

  • Delivered marketing collateral, bid documents, infographics, presentations, videos, and web assets for an international accountancy firm.

  • Sole designer responsible for all marketing collateral, including the prospectus, brochures, and campaigns.
  • Redesigned the school’s style guide and prospectus and edited its quarterly magazine and yearbook.
  • Managed website content via CMS and designed WordPress micro-sites for various school initiatives.
  • Oversaw social media accounts and collaborated with the marketing manager to execute campaigns.
